The wine is fermented in the January following the vintage with Amarone-style dried grapes, producing a wine of greater concentration and flavour. A slightly smokey cherry nose is met with a rich mouthful, with rounded tannins and a slight bitter finish.
70% Corvina and 30% Rondinella, from the hills to the east of Verona. Made using a more advanced method of ‘ripasso’, the wine is fermented in the January following the vintage with Amarone-style dried grapes, producing a wine of greater concentration and depth of flavour.
The wine was then aged in varying sizes of French oak. A slightly smokey cherry nose is met with a gloriously rounded and rich mouthful, with rounded tannins and a slight bitterness on the finish. Divine with hard mature Italian cheeses, and also great with pappardelle alla lepre (pasta with a rich hare sauce).

Crabilis Vermentino di Sardegna 2007 Pala 
The sandy limestone basis of the Is Crabilis vineyard is reflected in the slight salinity and minerality present in this wine. Golden straw in colour with a greenish tinge, with an incredibly rich aroma of blossom and fresh Mediterranean thyme.
The name derives from the Sardinian word for an ancient goat shelter! From 100% Vermentino (known as Rolle in France). Rich and full in the mouth, this wine just needs fresh roasted Red Mullet to show at its absolute best.

Intense colour, a lingering violet hue on the nose. In the mouth, tasting confirms the balsamic character and the subtle fragrance of cinnamon, soft tannin, very good structure, a lingering finish with a hint of burnt sugar.
90% Tempranillo, 10% others. Marqués de Riscal Reserva is made from grapes grown on vines over 15 years old and spends approximately 2 years in oak barrels to produce that classic Rioja style.
